From Sacred to Diseased...

Karamana is the river flowing through the city of Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala. The river origins near the Southern tip of the Western Ghats at Agasthyaarkoodam. The river flows 66km westward and merges with the Arabian sea at Panathura near Kovalam,Kerala.

Today the condition of the river is pathetic. The Karamana river was once the pride of the city. The river doesn't flow quite and slowly anymore. The much pollution of the river has reached a state where medical officials have been forced to post the posters on the riverside and announced to the public that the water is polluted, due to careless of people. They gave warning to them to keep their children away from the bathing and swimming in the river, because it may cause rat disease (leptospirosis) and jaundice.

Studies analysing the water samples collected from 20 locationfs along the river have shown contamination from different sources resulting in poor water quality. 75% of the river water samples have been found to be acid in nature. This pollution has led to the conversion of the river into a carrier of diseases leading to environmental damage and raised the risk of the public health. Karamana river is now polluted by the public itself. It was a report from the security officers. People thrown out the wastes into the river and when the rain falls the wastes are dumped into the midst of the river. Urban growth, industrial pollution, vehicle pollution and the over use of fertilizers were increased the pathetic situation of the river. If the public think at least once in a while, our river had no such conditions arise.

This is more or less the story of all rivers in India, especially in Kerala. Rivers are considered as resources and it's our duty to protect it. It is the river which purely flows from the Himalayas. We must protect our eco system and surroundings without any bad conditions.

Poverty In India -Our Faith!!...

India is a developing country. Our India is developing day-to-day. In all the sectors, India have a vast development. That's in education, health, wealth clothing, shelter in all urban and rural areas of India. Also India is a secular country.

But at the same time,so many people were in slums. So many of them have no shelter,no food and they face severe crisis in life. The main problem faced by some Indians is poverty. Poverty refers to the situation of the peoples were lost their basic needs in life. The problems of the poor people are lack of food, clothing and shelter. When we lead a happy life in India,at the same on the other side some people are victims of poverty. Many Indian people don't get two meals per day. They don't have even any shelter to sleep. They don't get any proper nutrition and also they don't have much money to take care of their health.

We knew that rural areas are the asset of our country. Such areas have a beautiful sceneries to enjoy. But the people living in rural areas are more victims than urban areas. More people don't have much sources of income. Their income is from doing the labor jobs, cultivation and some of them are merchants.

If we take the survey of the life of the poor people,we understand that that have so many children's. The growth of population is more in them. The important problem of the poor people are the bad cultivation, without any help from the rich people, loss of health and food scarcity.

Effects of Poverty

1. Hygiene: Poor people have lack of knowledge about the importance of hygeine. They are not aware of it.
2.Unemployment: Poor people migrated from villages to town for better employment. But most of them are illiterates.
3.Child labor: Poor people admit their children for labor works. Because the lack of money was the reason behind it.

Poverty is the main problem of India. If we think that we must bring them up in the society, just help them financially. Also the government have the power to take lots of steps to decrease the poverty. Everything is possible,if we are ready to do it......

Smile is the symbol of open minds.....

Here I tried to express the power of smile. A sincere smile shows the sincerity of one's mins. Smiling to somebody is not an easier thing. Because at the every moment, one's smile comes out from the open mind. Sincerity is important in every stages of life. That sincerity in also seen in smile, Smile is th keyword to ones heart. If you ask to somebody about us, nobody likes or knew us without keeping the smile on our face. The pleasing face is important than the advice to others. If we try to attack our problems with smile it is an easy way to win in life. But it is not easy to smile every moment. The first identity of one person is their smile. An unexpected smile to somebody, opens the new relationship. We heard that a smile or laughing increases the health. If you think that it is true go ahead!!!

If we smile,it shows the personality and you are more attractive ever before. Also you can change the entire world and it is easy to build a new bond. We get relaxed when we smile. A cute smile is more impressive in working places also. If it's hard to smile, just think about the real funny incident in your real life or remember the favorite comedy scenes from movies. Try this..If this method is failed just consult a psychiatrist. That's all...Nobody can buy or stolen the smile. Smile is the real gift from god and sincere smile comes out from an innocent mind. Smile has the power to change the mood and catch the public attention. If someone is feeling sad, nervous and in bad mood you can smile to them and let's see how they relaxed....it's the magic of smile.

To smile we need only four muscles of our face and to keep a cruel face we need fifty muscles. So smile is easy and quite attractive than the cruel face.Children giggled so many times than elders. Itvsimply shows their innocence.....So Let's Smile.....

How To Be A Good Friend?.....

Friendship is the most powerful bond between two persons and two hearts.....!!!

  1. Keep your promises: Don't ever make a promise that we cannot keep. If you say once, you will hangout with a friend and a conflict arises, explain the situation to our friend and trust ever that the friendship is strong enough for the no's as well as the yes. If you just can't go, tell him/her a sorry and give a small gift as surprise. Don't give fake promises to your friend. It will break your relationship. While giving such fake promises your friend felt that you are not a trustworthy and nobody committed to you as your friend. Don't break any such promise, as that it will hurt your friend and they keep a distance from you.
  2. Be honest: If you want to be a good friend, then you must must honest about your feelings, your friends doings and about how you feel about your friendship. If you are honest in your feelings and thoughts that open up directly to them and will makes them more likely to open up to you. This shows your sincerity to them. Sometimes your friend hurts you, don't forget to clear your side and also don't ever feel shy to express your thoughts. If there is any misunderstandings in your relationship don't forget to say sorry and try to clear your mistakes if they feel any hurt.
  3. Be dependable: Being dependable is one of the most important aspect of being a good friend. Your friend will need your support especially in hard times. Also, they want yout alone;at this time your commonsense will help your friend. Let your friend know that you can give a shoulder to cry. It will shows the strength of your friendship.
  4. Learn to forgive: If you want to keep your friendship till last, you must able advice and moral support in hard times. Give specific and accurate advice to them.
  5. Be together forever: Don't show  Jealousy on them. It's hard to stay on a person who doesn't behave in a constant and trustworthy way. Some people seeks their friends for help and they replied as "Okay,I will..." but they never do it through and in a proper way. If you are not sure that  you can't do something, don't give fake promises.our heart. Try your level best to help your friend in a trouble. You will be there with your friend to overcome from the trouble. Also get away from the worst situation by not being afraid to speak with them. At this time;I realized a wording "A friend in need is a friend indeed". Don't think that your friend can handle ie to forgive your friend's mistakes. If your friend really did something so unforgettable that you just forgot about it,to save your relation. But it is not easy...

Sweet Relationship between Mother and her Child.....

There is a positive and very sweet relationship between a Mother and her Child...It is always said that a woman will never know what it is truly like to love unconditionally, until they have given birth to a child. I heard that a woman turned to be a mother must come out real feelings to others without any conditions. She loves the entire world and her lives were totally colorful and excited than ever before. There is no greater and meaningful love than the mother and her child. I have no doubts in this statement. It is a real fact that both physical and an emotional bond are created between mother and child. Physically, through the attachment from the umbilical cord from the mother to the child. Emotionally, feeling that the child growing inside her. Also she felt that she is going to be a mother. She started talk with the baby inside her. The uterus is the most safe and sound place in the world. Her thoughts and emotions are totally changed. At birth the bond is increased,as the woman holds her baby in her arms for the first time. It is the most emotional experience to a woman, while turned as mother.

Mother is the one who brings up her child into the world and experiences all that she is being conceived. There is nobody form a bond with that child as she can. YES!!! there is an extreme powerful and a sweet bond between a mother and a child. There are some adoptive parents also. They didn't gave the birth to their adoptive child. But a bond is formed in between them. After giving birth to her child, mother started breastfeeding and hold them close. This keeps in physical contacts for the first precious hours and it is a strength to the baby. Mothers are the unique strength to the child and she influenced lot in the growth of her kids...

Trans genders are also Humans....

Trans gedenrs also human beings...But we don't consider them. Our society tried to avoid these kind of peoples. It was a bad manner. Because all types of lives have an equal right to live in our world. They also have feelings and thoughts like us. We must try to understand and consider them as a social animal. Trans gender people come from all walks of life. They have dads and moms, siblings and family. They have a marital life like normal people. They have a diverse community, representing all racial backgrounds,as well as faith backgrounds..

Some people born as man and have the characteristics and mannerisms are like the women. Also have people were opposite to this. These are commonly called as "trans genders". But society consider them as the worst people. They thought that these peoples were born without the sex organs and have no feelings like us...

In magazines, newspapers and television channels we can saw so many trans genders who suffered lot from our society.Society treated them as buffoons. Some of them have lots of talents and some of them are artists, beauticians and some of them were shifted their living to other states. Some trans gender people identify as male or female and some of them take hormones, also have surgery as a part of their transition. There are lot of sufferings and challenges were trans gender people face day-to-day from our society. While the visibility of trans gender people is increasing in popular culture and daily life. They still face severe discrimination and inequality. Still they don't have any legal protection, have poverty and harrasment, have no specific health care. As I told early, all humans have equal right to live, equal chance to succeed. We must treat them as a human, with normal people...

Book Review of Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham(Life of Goat) by Benyamin

One of my most favorite novel is 'Aadujeevitham' by Benyamin. This novel creates the real life of a Gulf Malayalee who worked in the desert. This is one such book which is full of life and made tears in our eyes. Also, this novel gave a message that lot of sufferings of the normal gulf malayali(pravasi). This was the state award winning novel and is going to be a Malayalam movie.

Benyamin, the novelist's hero is Najeeb,a common Malayali. Najeeb wish to work in a good
environment, send money to home and also he wish to lead a luxurious life. This is the wish of common people. In gulf,Najeeb got trapped. He cheated and reached to the desert where he was assigned to look after sheep and camels under a cruel man 'Arabab'. There,he doesn't know the language, and he is totally far away from the human interaction. These days were an extreme sufferings to him. He had no proper food,no shelter and no way for human basic needs. Through his utter bas experiences in life he turned himself as one of the goats and his life one like a goat. He started talking to them, eat with them and also he shared the experiences of his life to them. He thought that these animals were better that men. But at these says he had a hope which will brings freedom and the sufferings with goat and the brutal 'arabab'. He had a hope in life and the god too....

"The story narrated in the book was the real life of a person" the author said. Benyamin interviewed and extracted the best from the person who suffered the life of Najeeb,in real life. That means the story was a real life experience, not created. But he mixed lot of thoughts and imagination for the better reading. This shows the talent of the writer. There are much characters along with the hero. That is Hakkim and Hameed. Hakkim is an innocent man who spend most of his time with Najeeb before the life with goat. If we tried to understand th life of the hero, definitely it makes tears from our eyes...No doubt....

What is Love?....

What is Love? I never got an answer to this question. Some people said that Love gave happiness and peace to mind and soul. Some others said that if we are in love,we felt that the life is so colourful and tensionfree. But,I never felt it. Because, not from my personal experience.....it was from my friend's experiences. Once they fell in love,I saw that all of my friend's are forgot all the things around them. The lovers means my friend's and her lover are the person's who enjoy the happiness in life. Sometimes my friend told that I am a stupid girl. Becuse I didn't have any love affairs. She thought that if the person without the love affairs was a fool and unkind - hearten person.

I knew,Love is the most delicate, romantic and sensational word. I felt crush to someone. But not a real love. I knew that true love never ends.....But now the true love was disappeared from our life. Yeah!!....True Love is still leaving in someone's heart ofcourse. But, most of the love affairs were based on money, physical appearance, wealth of the family and sex.

Some elders said that "Love is not just that what happens between persons of opposite sex,but that it is something happens between a child and the parents, child and the friends etc...". Of course it is true!!There is strong and powerful relationship between two friends. The first thing to kept in mind is that a friend too is a person of the same feelings, same mind as us. So it's okay to share,to happy, being in trust. In friendship we must need a compromise. Neither, the compromise was not only in the friendship nor all the relations in life..

Oh!!!!Our subject is Love. Love is the basic and common emotion in all relationships. Love is referred to as the most complex emotion that came to being from the time, man became a social animal. In this time I realized that love our self and that is the only way to unlock others heart with the key of Love....
